Moy Valley Resources now offer a new service to our community – The North Mayo Volunteer Bureau which is open at Cathedral Road Ballina between 9.30 and 1.30 Monday toFriday.

One of the objectives of our work is to promote volunteerism among the youth. The volunteer bureau  successfully delivered a “Young Active Citizenship Challenge” competition in primary schools in the Ballina region. The interest in and success of this competition far exceeded all expectations. Students were invited to tell their “Active Citizenship Challenge” story through an art competition. Over 800 entries were received with amazing support from local teachers and parents from 8 participating schools. Prizes were presented at an awards ceremony. The first prize winner was Elisha Leneghan. The overall winning school was Behy National School.
