
Call for Expressions of Interest CLAR funding 2018
An allocation of €5 million is available for the CLÁR funding programme in Ireland for 2018 from the department of Rural and Community Affairs. CLÁR (Ceantair Laga Árd-Riachtanais) is a targeted investment programme for rural areas that aims to provide funding for small infrastructural projects in areas that experience disadvantage. The aim of CLÁR is to support the sustainable development of identified CLÁR areas with the aim of attracting people to live and work there.
CLÁR 2018 will provide funding under the following measures:
Measure 1: Support for Schools/Community Safety Measures – up to 90% funding
Measure 2: Play Areas (including MUGAs) (€2M) – up to 90% funding
Measure 3: First Response Support Measure (€1M)
Mayo County Council is now calling for expressions of interest for CLAR funding for Measures 1 and 2.
The 2018 scheme allows for applications to be submitted to Mayo County Council from Schools, Community Groups and from Local Development Companies. 15 Projects will be shortlisted for submission to the Department of Rural and Community Affairs. Evidence of match funding must be provided.

Closing date for receipt of applications is 4pm Wednesday 18th April 2018. Applications will not be considered after this date.
