Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more. Or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Duties Will Include, but not limited to:

1. Assisting the Manager with general administrative duties which will include, but not limited to:

a. Ordering and organising stationery supplies

b. Ensuring incoming invoices are recorded and sent to Accounts for payment

c. Assisting with organising diaries and meetings

d. Undertaking online research as required

e. Answering the main phone line and re-directing calls as necessary

2. Administering the Postal Survey service

3. Assisting with the invoicing and administration around the Garda Vetting service

4. Ensuring that marketing materials are in full supply and up to date

5. Assisting the Manager with booking the hubs around Mayo to use as “pop up volunteer centres” and liaising with the hub managers with regards to booking office space and resources

6. Help with the administration for the new “Community Volunteers” programme (from April 2022)

7. Assisting the Placement Officers as required on any projects they are managing

8. Help Manager and Placement Officers with some basic social media posts

Person specification

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and Outlook

• Be comfortable with searching the internet and posting on Facebook

• Proficient keyboard skills and using computers generally

• Excellent communications skills both verbally and written

• Team oriented approach to work with the ability to take initiative when required

• Adaptable and willing to take on new administrative tasks as they arise •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good general administration skills and computer skills
