Craoibhín Ballina – the Moy Valley Social Club
Formerly known as the Moy Valley CSP Over 55 Club, Craoibhín Ballina social club is located adjacent to the Cathedral in Ballina, Co. Mayo.
Craoibhín has been in operation on Cathedral Road, Ballina since April 2008 and is open to the general public from Monday–Friday, where it provides a unique service in a cosy, intimate setting where people can drop in at any time during the day, to have a chat and a cup of tea. Everybody is welcome.
The club also has a new 14-seater minibus which is wheelchair accessible.

This project is supported by the Department of Rural and Community Development and Pobal through the Community Services Programme.
Mission Statement:
- To continue to provide a valuable social service which is both relevant and sustainable
- To provide long-term sustainable employment for Moy Valley CSP employees, which supports job training and upskilling opportunities and provides staff with the living wage
The club organises activities such as card games, afternoon tea, live music, dinner dances, Spanish lessons, book club, coffee mornings, boccia (a precison ball sport related to bowls), digital training, card-playing, outdoor activites and day trips away.
The club is supported by fundraising initiatives and funding from the Department of Social Protection through Pobal, and also the Dept of Community and Rural Affairs.
Craoibhín Ballina has at its heart a focus on inclusion, a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and most of all, a place where members of our community can come and enjoy themselves.
