Mayo North Tourism was established in 2013, as an initiative of the then Ballina Town Council and Ballina Chamber of Commerce to promote the North Mayo region as a single brand, encompassing events, tourist offerings, food, entertainment and accommodation offerings from all of the communities within the area. Since then, it has evolved into an community-led destination marketing and development operation, overseen by its own steering group.
